China's Vice President Xi Jinping will visit New Zealand's shores from June 17 to 19.
New Zealand Prime Minister John Key said the visit is evidence of the strength of the economic and political connections between the two countries.
The growth of trade under the free trade agreement between the countries will be a particular focus of talks.
Xi will meet with John Key, Governor-General Anand Satayand and Speaker Lockwood Smith.
