China congratulates Philippines over general elections

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu made the remarks at a regular press conference, saying China sincerely hopes the Philippines will maintain social stability and economic development, with its people leading peaceful and prosperous lives
"China is ready to work with the Philippines to continuously push forward bilateral relations," Ma said.
The Philippines on Monday concluded its national elections, which are held once every six years.
