China said in Beijing Tuesday that it was ready to work with Namibia to further bilateral cooperation of mutual benefit, and reinforce the traditional friendship between the two countries.
He Yong, deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, made the remarks when meeting with Pendukeni Iivula-Ithana, secretary-general of Namibia's ruling South-West Africa People's Organization(SWAPO).
As this year marked the 20th anniversary of Namibia's independence and the Sino-Namibian diplomatic ties, China was willing to take the opportunities to work with Namibia, and seek common development, He said.
He also briefed Ithana on the CPC's efforts to combat corruption and China's political and economic situation.
Ithana, at the invitation of the CPC, kicked off the week-long visit on May 9.
