Chinese vice president arrives in Belarus

At the invitation of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping arrived here Wednesday for an official visit to Belarus.

During his stay in Belarus, Xi, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will meet with Lukashenko as well as other Belarusian government and parliament leaders.

They will exchange views over political cooperation, trade, economy and mutually-beneficial investment to tackle the global economic downturn.

The two countries will also sign a series of documents on bilateral cooperation.
