Gabon awards medals to Chinese military medical team

Gabonese Defense Minister Angelique Ngoma Thursday conferred national and military medals as well as honor certificates on the first Chinese military medical team to the country.

At an awards ceremony, the Gabonese military expressed its thanks to the team, praising the staff's rich experience, hard work and harmonious cooperation with Gabonese colleagues.

The team had conducted many difficult operations on patients and saved many lives.

The Gabonese military expressed the hope that more Chinese military medical teams would come to the country to provide services.

Chinese Ambassador to Gabon Li Fushun thanked the Gabonese military for its appreciation of the Chinese team, and said China has attached great importance to cooperating with the Gabonese military in various fields.

At the invitation of the Gabonese military, the second Chinese military medical team will arrive in the country next month, Li said.
