Speeches marks 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Mongolia, China

To mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Mongolia and China, Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Sukhbaataryn Batbold visited Chinese Academy of Social Science and delivered important speeches on Tuesday. He recalled the 60-year history of development of Mongolia-China relations, and gave assessments of the status quo of bilateral relations.

He said there are three cornerstones supporting the continuous development of Mongolia and China relations. First is the formal establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries on Oct. 16, 1949. Second is the signing of bilateral treaties and agreement on politics, economy and culture. Third is the full development of Mongolia and China ties and the establishment of good-neighborly partnership since the end of 1980s, which consolidated bilateral ties.

Sukhbaataryn Batbold stressed that this year marks the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. It is significant to the bilateral ties because during the past 60 years we have deeply understood the importance of a permanent-neighborly partnership of mutual trust

He said Mongolia and China ties are in there best period in history. The two countries need to learn from each other, achieve mutual benefit and win-win, and promote common prosperity.

Finally, Sukhbaataryn Batbold expressed his hope that relations between the two countries will be able to move forward on the basis of cementing the exiting achievements.
