Chinese premier leaves for DPRK visit

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao left here Sunday morning for an official goodwill visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Wen, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, was invited by the DPRK Workers' Party Central Committee and the government.

His entourage includes Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Wang Jiarui, Minister in charge of the National Development and Reform Commission Zhang Ping, Commerce Minister Chen Deming, Minister of Culture Cai Wu, Director of the Research Office of the State Council Xie Fuzhan, Vice Secretary-General of the State Council and Director of the Premier's Office Qiu Xiaoxiong, Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei and Deputy Director of General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Liu Zhenqi.
