A photo show marking the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) was opened at Pyongyang People's Cultural Palace on Friday.

The photo show was co-organized by the Chinese embassy and the DPRK-China Friendship Association of the DPRK.

A total of 60 photos reflecting the leaders of the two countries fostering and consolidating the friendship between the two counties, demonstrating the friendly exchange and cooperation in different fields, were showcased at the exhibition.

The photo show is one of the magnificent events of the Year of DPRK-China Friendship and will encourage the Korean and Chinese peoples in their cause of building socialism, said Choe Chang Sik, Minister of Public Health, chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, at the opening ceremony.

The photo show fully reflects the consistent development of the China-DPRK friendly relations in the past 60 years, Liu Xiaoming, the Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, said in his address.
