General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nong Duc Manh met with delegations from China, Laos, Cambodia and Cuba here on Monday.

These four delegations are invited to Hanoi to attend the seventh national congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) that opened here on Monday.

The Chinese delegation is headed by Zhang Rongming, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body.

During the meeting, Manh told Zhang that he congratulated China on the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Manh spoke highly of the Vietnam-China relations. He said that to strengthen the exchanges of VFF and CPPCC is conducive to developing the Vietnam-China all-round strategic cooperative partnership.

Zhang said CPPCC would like to work together with VFF to enhance cooperation and mutual trust of the two countries, implement concensus already reached by leaders of the two countries and advance the bilateral relations to a new stage.
