President of the Republic of Togo Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe and Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Korbsak Subhavasu will not attend the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2009, the BFA secretariat confirmed Friday.

"We have been informed of the cancellation of the two leaders' visit to China just a moment ago," said Liu Jianhua, a senior official with the BFA secretariat.

Liu did not mention the reason for the cancellation.

Anti-government protest last Saturday at the beach resort of Pattaya of Thailand had resulted in the cancellation of the ASEAN summit and relevant meetings.
