China on Thursday lodged a solemn representation over the U.S. Congress' approval of a Tibet resolution on Wednesday.

"The Chinese government and people are strongly dissatisfied with and resolutely opposed the approval of a Tibet resolution by the U.S. Congress," Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu told a regular press briefing.
