A reception was held here Tuesday to mark the 90th anniversary of Poland's independence by the Polish embassy in Beijing.

More than 100 guests, including foreign diplomats, Chinese officials, as well as teachers and students from some Chinese colleges attended the reception.

Addressing the reception, Polish Ambassador to China Krzysztof Szumski briefed the guests on Poland's history of fighting for independence.

In addition, he also spoke highly of the Poland-China relationship, saying next year would mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Poland-China diplomatic relations, which would give opportunity for the two sides to deepen bilateral cooperation.
