Indian Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon on Tuesday said Tibetans were prohibited from conducting anti-China activities in India.

In a meeting with Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo in Beijing, Menon said the Indian government would prevent Tibetans from conducting political activities against China in India.

Dai expressed appreciation for Indian government's efforts on the successful Olympic torch relay in its capital, New Delhi.

He hailed the positive momentum of China-India ties.

Menon said India attached great importance to the India-China relations, adding he believed the Beijing Olympics were sure to succeed.
