Prominent Chinese expatriates and Chinese nationals in Hungary gathered here on Saturday to condemn some Western anti-China forces' humiliating activities against China and show their support for the Beijing Olympics.
Addressing the gathering at the Oriental Hotel in Budapest, Vice Chairman of the Hungarian Council for China's Peaceful Unification Qiao Wei said all Chinese expatriates and Chinese nationals in Hungary are infuriated by and strongly condemn the Dalai clique's separatist statements and acts, and the Western anti-China forces' humiliating remarks against China.
The Western anti-China forces' wish to thwart the Beijing Olympic Games by using the Tibet separatists goes against the trend of world development as well as the will and hope of the entire Chinese people, and is thus doomed to fail, he noted.
Zhu Guilin, honorary chairman of the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Hungary, said the Olympics should not be tied with politics, but some Western politicians have been using the Beijing Olympic Games as a tool to humiliate and undermine China.
All people with a good conscience and a sense of justice can see that the present-day China is striding forward in all fields, but those anti-China politicians can never fairly and objectively assess these efforts and achievements.
For them, the so-called human rights and democracy issues are nothing but a cover. What they really mean to do is to trample on the dignity of the Chinese nation and to split China, Zhu stressed.
Chen Anbang, secretary-general of Zhu's organization, said that "as far as the national dignity is concerned, we have no room for flinching. We must make our solemn stance clear to the anti-China politicians: the 1.3 billion Chinese are not to be humiliated."
