Venezuela believes the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in August will be successful, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement Tuesday.

Venezuela will send its biggest athletic delegation ever to the Games, said the statement.

The statement also voiced support for the Chinese government's policy and stand on Tibet.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro have expressed their support for the Beijing Olympic Games, and denounced the violent activities that took place recently in China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
