Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa arrived here Thursday morning, starting a four-day official visit to China, also his first China visit since he assumed the office of Prime Minister in 2004. During his stay in Beijing, Jansa will meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao. He will also pay a visit to China's economic powerhouse Shanghai.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Slovenia.
The visit is "an excellent opportunity not only to positively assess the past cooperation but also to set goals for further strengthening of bilateral ties", said Jansa in a written response before his visit.
