An examiner checks whether there are scars on an applicant's arms during a flight attendant recruitment held in Shanghai on June 13, 2011. On that day, China Eastern Airlines started up a three-day recruiting drive in Shanghai. Although the elimination rate surpassed 95 percent, the recruitment also attracted more than 1,000 applicants from all social sectors. It is reported that the open recruitment has kicked off in nine cities, including Ningbo, Nanjing, Wuhan and Beijing, since April. Shanghai is the last stop of the recruitment and 500 flight attendants are scheduled to be recruited here. (Pei Xin/ Xinhua)
