Among major state institutions and organs, the military is trusted most by the public, followed by the scientific and technological circles, according to the recently published "Annual Report on Science Communication of China (2010-2011)." The public trust in the medical care circle is below the average level of 6.95 points.

The scientific and technological circles scored 7.50 points and the military, 7.88 points, which placed them in the mid to upper level of the survey, while the education and academic circles stand at 6.78 and 6.72 points, respectively.

The report shows that the public image of scientists is largely above the average level. The skills and moral sense of the scientists win higher points than their academic ethics. More than 90 percent respondents hope that scientists could become moral models.
