The robot is 1.7 meters high and looks like a real man with eyes, a nose and a mouth. When it is linked with electricity, it will work as a human noodle-cutter. It holds a piece of dough in the left hand while it carries a knife in the right hand. In a few moment, a plate put in front of it is full of sliced noodles.

Feng Guixiang, an automobile mechanic, took 12 days to invent this robot for a local noodle restaurant.

"The materials used to produce the robot are common items, such as iron plates, steel pipes and transformers. It is vital to control the noodles' thickness, width and length. Now, the robot is able to slice two or three bowls of noodles in a minute. If the robot works ten hours a day, while it only consumes 2 killowatts of power per hour," said Feng.

However, Feng is still unsatisfied with the robot's working efficiency. He plans to develop a multifunctional noodle-slicing robot with high efficiency, which will be able to complete dough making inside the machine and slice 20 bowls of noodles each minute.

You will not wait too long to see the multifunctional robot, said Feng with confidence.
