Teachers in 3E International School in Beijing are from all over the world. To help these foreign teachers to find their feet, the school sets up specific communities to help them.

Foreigners' competitiveness in employment was once regarded as their international background and foreign language ability. However, with the enhancement of China's education level, foreigners have to face enormous competitive pressure from Chinese tanlents.

Yuan Ye from Germany has worked in China for nearly ten years. He thinks that foreigners working in China are facing competitions. In China, young people who have received higher education and are able to speak English increase gradually while those returned overseas Chinese also participate in the competitions.

Only foreigners have some specialized skills and adapt to Chinese culture, could they find better job opportunities, said Yuan Ye.

Adaptation to Chinese enviroment also bothers some foreigners working in China, especially in Chinese language and Chinese culture.

Experts suggest that learning Chinese is very nessessary for those foreingers working in China. They also need to participate in much more culture exchage activities and enlarge their own circle of acquaintances, which can help them get acquainted with Chinese culture.
