A set of mini-train turned over when running at Jiayi County in the Ali Mountain Region of China's Taiwan on April 27, and the accident has caused five deaths and 107 injuries by 22 o'clock of the day. All the six people killed in the accident are tourists from Chinese mainland.

The six dead tourists are all female Chinese mainland tourists from Sichuan, Shandong and Guangdong provinces, according to the report of Taiwan's travelling administrative department. In addition, the accident also injured 18 people seriously, 47 people at middle level and 42 people injured slightly.

The eight-carriage-train was running from Shenmu Stop to Ali Mountain Stop while a falling tree limb hit on the last carriage of the mini-train and caused the overturned of other carriages, according to the primary investigation of Bureau of Fire Protection of Jiayi County.

Chen Zhenbin, a 58-year-old tourist from Zhejiang province, told Xinhua reporters that he was sitting in the eighth carriage of the mini-train together with his two sisters when the accident happened. "We heard a noise over our heads, and everybody thought it was an earthquake at first, then we figured out it was a wooden limb hit our carriage."

"The sixth, seventh and eighth carriages were all overturned, and the situation was very dangerous, many people were still in the carriages when I climbed out. It was a total mess at that time. Some people and I who were not injured went to help those people who were under the train as soon as possible, but there still got some people we couldn't manage to help, and some of them didn't hang on." Chen also said.

After the accident happened, relevant offices of Taiwan initiated the rescue job immediately and sent wounded tourists to the hospitals down the mountain.

Cai Youzhu, a doctor of the St. Martin Hospital in Jiayi, said his hospital received 40 injuries caused by the accident, and one died before arrived at the hospital while other 39 patients has stable sin of life as of now.
