With the launch of "Health Care for Xinjiang Female Workers" activity in Urumqi on March 7, a total of 50,000 front-line female workers will receive free medical examinations in 2011.

This activity was jointly organized by the General Union of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and the PLA 474 Hospital.

In addition to female workers from within Xinjiang, other groups of female workers, such as migrant workers, will also be included in the scope of the activity.

The PLA 474 Hospital will also give aid to 100 female workers with financial difficulties. The workers will need to be verified and recognized by the General Union of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to receive the aid. The hospital will return 30 percent of treatment costs to them in cash through trade union organizations after treatments.
