Fire breaks out in east China plant, casualties unknown

A fire has ripped through a package plant in east China's Zhejiang Province Wednesday morning, local police said.

By 10:20 a.m., about 10 people had been rescued from the fire, which was under control, local police said.

Fire brigade in Wenzhou received emergency calls at 8:02 a.m., saying some 20 people were trapped in the fire in Ouhai District of the city.

Casualties of the fire remain unknown as the fire fighters are still striving to extinguish the flame and search for others who are trapped in the fire.
