4.8-magnitude earthquake jolts southwest China's Yunnan

A 4.8-magnitude earthquake hit southwest China's Yunnan Province on Tuesday afternoon, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The quake hit Yingjiang County of Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Dehong at 3:11 p.m. Beijing Time, the center said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 kilometers, was located at 24.7 degrees north latitude and 97.9 degrees east longitude, according to the center.
