Heavy snow and icy rain will sweep China from Jan. 26 to Jan. 28, according to a weather report from the National Meteorological Center of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) in the next 10 days.
Along the Yangze River, the Huai River and other areas there will be heavy snow, and some areas will experience snowstorms.
In Guizhou Province, Hunan Province and other areas there will be icy rain.
In the meteorological drought areas of the western areas of northern China and the Yellow River and Huai River areas, there will be 1 millimeter to 3 millimeters of snowfall, easing drought in those areas. But the precipitation is to be relatively limited, so the drought will continue last into the future.
The weather will get warmer again after Jan. 29 in many areas of China.
