9 kids dead, 10 injured after vehicle plunges into creek in C. China

A vehicle taking children to school plunged into a creek in central China's Hunan Province Monday morning, leaving nine children dead, 10 injured and one missing.

The accident happened at 7:30 a.m. in Songjiang Township, Hengnan County, said a county education bureau spokesman.

The injured are being treated in hospital.
