China's General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) Wednesday said 55 Internet websites will be shutdown if they continue to offer downloads of pornographic cellphone games.

GAPP said in a statement the websites were found to be providing 53 different kinds of pornographic flash games and porn cellphone games.

The websites include: www.imobile.com.cn; www.dospy.com; www.motobbs.com; and lihuasoft.net among others.

GAPP ordered the websites to delete any lewd and pornographic content or risk having their Internet connection cut off.

GAPP also said those who ignore the warning will be "held legally accountable."

As part of its nationwide crackdown on pornography, the GAPP periodically publicizes a list of websites found to be offering pornographic contents.

On March 25, the GAPP released a list of 48 domestic websites on which pornographic cyber and cellphone games were available.
