Attract global visitors

As the World Expo tour caravan rolls from south to north in China, the world-wide promotion for the Expo is also underway.

On March 1, in New York Times Square, known as the "crossroads of the world," one huge outdoor advertisement with an area of 11 square meters has been erected with slogans in English and Chinese. For three months, it will be standing there, telling visitors about the Shanghai World Expo, China and it will provide information and an invitation to visit the Expo and China.

On March 6, the Canadian tourism office held an event to promote the Expo in Toronto." On March 10 an event was held in Berlin. On March 11, London Tourism Office held promotional activities. On March 12 to 14, at Malaysia International Travel Fair in Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai World Expo became a major highlight of the exhibition. From March 18 to 21 the Expo was promoted at the largest tourism conference in the world – the International Tourism Fair – held in Paris. On March 27, the world's 100 city tour promoting in Manila, Philippines sites opened.

According to the National Tourism Administration tourism promotion program for the Expo, the Expo will travel through Italy in 2010. "Chinese Culture Year", China visit year (Korea), Chinese-Russian language year, the Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Year, etc. Tourism Expo is expected to set off heat waves in the international arena.
