China's second diagnosed A/H1N1 flu patient, Lv Haitao, in the company of healthcare workers, left the isolated ward and courageously faced dozens of reporters from different media without a mask at his discharged on May 19.
“In the end, he chose to confront rather than evade, although he was still willing to be interviewed wearing a mask yesterday morning.” One of his attending physicians said.
Lv delivered his gratitude to the healthcare workers. “During these eight days, I experienced much that I’ve never know in more than the past ten years, and I will cherish these indelible memories for the rest of my life.”
Ren Anyong, the isolation ward director of Ji Nan Infectious Disease Hospital, said, “He left his contact information and promised to be our guide whenever we travel in Canada if we are willing.”
