In a recent poll "2008 China's 50 Most Beautiful People," Li Yuchun, the "Super Girl" from Chengdu, is temporarily ranked third with 40,477 votes, lagging behind Huang Xiaoming in second place by about 7,000 votes. Previously she was voted number one in a "Top Beauty in Sichuan" poll. Some netizens believe that she might once again win the title, because before November 27 she was leading the chart, ranking ahead of Zhao Wei and Sun Li.

The "China's 50 Most Beautiful People" poll is organized by media which launches online voting, targeting readers nationwide. In its previous surveys, Li Yuchun always made onto the list. Last year, Li came in second after Gong Li. By 9 pm on November 27, Zhao Wei ranked first with 62,914 votes and Huang Xiaoming was placed second with 47,405 votes. Li, who had topped the list, is currently ranked third.

As for the ranking Li said, "I'm happy that people like me." She said she does not know which type of beauty she represents but it is great encouragement to win the public's recognition.

It is understood that the final ranking result will be released in December.
