According to the "Legal Mirror," CRH3 EMUs, fresh off the assembly line in Tangshan City, were tested at maximum speeds of 300 to 350 kilometers per hour along the Beijing-Tianjin inter-city railway on April 23. These EMUs consist of a first-class compartment, six second-class compartments and a second-class compartment with a kitchen.
The first three EMUs off the assembly line will be put into use before the Beijing Olympic Games on the Beijing-Tianjin inter-city railway.
It is expected that before the end of 2009, there will be 57 CRH3 EMUs in operation.
