The "PD Online Scholarship" program has been launched individually at Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China and the Communication University of China.
From that time on, the "PD Online Scholarship" will be offered at the schools of journalism & communication at both Peking University and Tsinghua University, the School of Journalism at Renmin University of China, and the College of Television & News at the Communication University of China.
People's Daily Online (PD Online) is the first domestic online medium to set up a scholarship program in colleges.
The monetary award will be divided into two parts - one for a scholarship, and the other for excellent thesis - to reward those students with excellent academic and conduct records, and authors of outstanding network journalism and communication work.
Meanwhile, PD Online promised to offer internship opportunities for students in these four schools.
