Production of the Airbus A320 series, which officially began operation on September 28, 2008, has entered the final assembly line and is proceeding smoothly. Presently, five A320 planes are being assembled. The first plane will enter the exterior painting stage at the end of this month, according to information released by the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee on February 15.

Feng Zhijiang, Director of the Administrative Committee of the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, recently stated that the final assembly of the Airbus A320 series is currently proceeding according to plans. The first airbus A320 assembled in China will make its test flight in May and will start operation in June. Twelve Airbus A320s assembled in China will be put into use next year.
