The Communist Party of China (CPC) will continue to vigorously ensure and improve the people's wellbeing, and work to build a harmonious socialist society, President Hu Jintao said Friday.
The Party will give priority to promoting employment in the economic and social development, and accelerate the development of education, social security, medicine and healthcare, low-income housing and other social programs, Hu, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, said at a grand gathering marking the 90th anniversary of the CPC in Beijing.
