Chinese readers will soon have access to transcripts of former premier Zhu Rongji's press conferences in a book on sale Wednesday.
The book was transcribed from video, audio and written records of Zhu's press conferences in and outside China. It is the first time most of the records have been made public.
The book includes Zhu's expounding of Chinese government policies on deepening economic reform and opening wider to the outside world, improving macro-economic control, dealing with the 1997 Asian financial crisis and China's policies on accession to the World Trade Organization in 2001.
Zhu served as premier from 1998 to 2003.
The book is published by the People's Press.
