Despite the severe international financial environment, Shanghai has not slowed its pace to construct an international shipping center.

Following the start of the construction of the Wusongkou International Cruiseship Port, the China Huaneng Group and Huaneng Hainan Power Incorporation recently joined hands to invest in a passenger transport center at the Port of Shanghai in the North Bund, making the total investment of various projects in Shanghai North Bund exceed 40.5 billion yuan.

It was learned that this is already the eighth large-scale central enterprise to invest in the international passenger transport center at the Port of Shanghai in one month. On November 15, seven central enterprises, including the China Shipping (Group) Company and China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, jointly invested 7 billion yuan to create the shipping district at Shanghai North Bund.

In addition, a group of hotels and commercial buildings are being constructed in the North Bund. After six years of development and construction, the total construction investment of the North Bund has exceeded 40 billion yuan.
