On December 23, the "Century Light" ship, an embedded control electrically-propelled floating cleaner independently researched and developed by China, set sail on Huangpu River in Shanghai. It is able to clean 72,000 square meters of water surface each hour. Equipped with highly-efficient enclosed-style automatic cleaning, salvaging and storing systems, the ship can automatically clean, salvage, collect, store, load and transport water surface garbage and aquatic plants with its collection capacity being 4 cubic meters.
