Speaker of Russian Federation Council, the upper house of the parliament, Sergei Mironov, on Friday met with the representative of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Dong Hong, deputy director of the Party Literature Research Center of the CPC Central Committee conveyed the central committee's congratulations to Mironov, who has just been reelected as leader of the A Just Russia party for another four years.
"The Communist Party of China cherishes the solid ties with A Just Russia and is willing to enhance the relations on the basis of the four principles between parties," Dong said.
Mironov, in his turn, thanked the CPC for sending delegates to take part in A Just Russia's third national congress and paid great tribute to the inter-party relations and Russia-China ties.
Meanwhile, Mironov reiterated support for the Beijing Olympics and denounced attempts to politicize it.
Dong, who arrived in Moscow on April 23 at the invitation of A Just Russia, also attended the second world socialism forum sponsored by the party to introduce the Scientific Outlook on Development.
