The 2nd Chinese Enterprises Outbound Investment Conference (CEOIC), co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Ministry of Commerce of China opened in Beijing on April 22, 2008.
In recent years, China's outbound investment has been developing rapidly. During the last six years, from 2002 to 2007, China has had an average annual growth rate of 60 percent in foreign direct investment. By the end of 2007, China's non-financial overseas direct investment had reached 93.7 billion US dollars; 12,000 foreign invested enterprises had been approved by the Ministry of Commerce;and the scope had been extended to 172 countries and regions in the world.
