From April 21 to April 23, Macao will host an exhibition of gift products, premiums, houseware and toys as global buyers head to the Venetian Convention and Exhibition Center for fair called Mega Macao.
More than 1,500 well- known manufacturers and companies new to major trade fairs - held every April and October in south China - will present their latest range of products to buyers looking for the high-volume and low-cost goods at which Asian companies excel.
Companies from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan province, as well as Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, will be represented, many of them exclusive to the Macao fair.
Kenfair International, a veteran Hong Kong-based company that has been organizing trade fairs for more than 17 years, in charge of the Mega Macao show.
Over 8,789 qualified buyers from the well-established markets in the United States and Europe attended the last fair in October 2007.
The fair is timed to complement the Canton Fair in Guangzhou and Hong Kong-based trade fairs, and offers a new location close to the Pearl River Delta region as an additional sourcing opportunity with minimal travel time and easy connections by ferry and bus to other fairs.
A free shuttle service will transport buyers from the Canton Fair to the Venetian convention hall, a service that was well received by international buyers in the previous fair.
The choice of Macao as the location for Kenfair International to extend its well-known "Mega Show" portfolio of trade fairs was a logical one, the company says.
On-going investment in Macao that has brought world-class hotels, resorts, entertainment and trade fair facilities makes it compelling new destination for business events in Asia, exhibition organizers say.
The Venetian Convention and Exhibition Center received enthusiastic feedback from many of the previous fair's international buyers, who complimented the service, hotel and facilities.
A broad range of competitively priced products will be on display, covering gifts, premiums, houseware, toys, consumer electronics, apparel, home textiles, fabric and accessories, and travel and luggage, ensuring Mega Macao will again be a major stop on the international buying circuit this April, organizers say.
