Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met with a delegation of overseas Chinese youth in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday.

Jia, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, called on overseas Chinese youth to play an important role in promoting communication between China and the world.

Jia also called on them to contribute to the prosperity and reunification of the country.

The delegation arrived under the China Synergy Program (CSP) for Outstanding Youth.
