Fujian held a provincial economic working conference on December 15. Statistical data released at the conference showed that from January to November, Fujian's GDP had reached 929.475 billion yuan, an increase of 13.1% year-on-year. It is expected that the GDP for the whole year will top one trillion yuan with the per capita GDP exceeding US $4,000 and it is expected the total financial revenue for the entire year will reach 151 billion yuan, an increase of 17.8% year-on-year.
In 2007, eight provinces and one municipality in Chinese mainland achieved over one trillion yuan in GDP. They are Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang, Henan, Hebei, Shanghai, Liaoning and Sichuan. It is reported that if everything goes well, this "trillion club" will have four new members this year - Beijing, Fujian, Hubei and Hunan.
