The Zhangjiagang Bonded Port Area, at present China's only bonded port area located in a county-level port, was officially approved by the State Council recently for set up. This is the nation's 12th bonded port area.
Renamed from the Zhangjiagang Bonded Area with the addition of one word, the Zhangjiagang Bonded Port Area sees its functions greatly expanded as it is now equipped with various policy functions such as serving as a bonded area, an export processing zone, a bonded logistics park and a port as well as carrying out organic integration of port logistics, bonded logistics and bonded processing.
