Starting from January 1, 2009, seniors aged 65 and over in Beijing are entitled to free entry to the major city parks with presentation of their senior citizen courtesy card issued by the Beijing Municipal Committee on Ageing, announced by the Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks during a press conference held on December 11.

Statistics show that currently there are nearly 1.1 million senior citizens aged 65 and above in Beijing who will enjoy this preferential policy.
