Many of the world's prestigious universities including Moscow State University, Hiroshima University, and Rowan University, all revealed at 2007 Beijing International Education Expo that, even without TOEFL and college entrance examination results, students can enroll as long as they complete the university's interview process. Relevant experts pointed out that the market for studying abroad in non-English language countries will develop significantly.
A delegate from Moscow State University said that their teachers offer lessons in Russian; and Chinese students do not need to provide TOEFL results, other English language test results, or college entrance examination results, when applying for admission. They need only produce high school graduation certificates and standard examination results.
A male student from Huiwen High School said that if high school students want to go abroad to study at a university, they should begin applying in their sophomore year. For some students who have missed the opportunity apply, but still want to study abroad, foreign universities which promise direct enrollment of new students are quite attractive.
