The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is located along a river near Ejen Khoruu Banner of Ordos in Inner Mongolia. The Mausoleum is a cenotaph, where the coffin contains no body, but only headdresses and accessories. Since the Mongol ethic group in ancient times was fond of burying in secret places, the real mausoleum of Genghis Khan has never been discovered.

According to the legend, when Genghis Khan was leading the war with the Western Xia kingdom, he passed Ordos one day. The man was fascinated by the beautiful views around here and even dropped his horsewhip on the ground by accident. When his servant was about to pick up the horsewhip, he stopped him and said that he would like to be buried here after he died. After Genghis Khan died, when the hearse was passing by Ordos, the wheels were suddenly trapped into the wetland. With many oxen and horses, the hearse still couldn't be dragged out. The servant suddenly remembered Genghis Khan's words and decided to bury Genghis Khan's clothes here for worship.

Genghis Khan led more than 60 wars when he was alive. Apart from quitting from the Thirteen Wings War, he never failed. In many of the modern books, Genghis Khan was described as a "War Genius". He always chose to fight and always won. At that time, his wars spread to areas covering Russia, Afghanistan and North India. In the Eurasia landscape, Genghis Khan has become an invincible God of War.
