You and me, in Beijing to understand China

Over 100 teenagers from 11 countries had a chance this summer to learn China’s history and today through a special platform jointly established by Chinese university and Confucius Institutes overseas.

The opening ceremony of “You and me, in Beijing”Summer Camp was held in Beijing Foreign Languages School of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on July 18, 2012. 170 campers, vice president of BFSU, foreign diplomats and official of Confucius Institute Headquarters attended the ceremony.

The camp will offer Chinese language course, cultural experiencing subjects as well as other cross-cultural activities during campers’ seven-day stay in Beijing.

The summer camp program is co-organized by BFSU and oversea Confucius Institutes. Since the launch in 2008, the program has received over 400 teenagers from 11 countries and 40 foreign teachers with the goal of promoting people-to-people communications among Chinese culture admires around the world.
