The Carter Center -- Hong Kong Baptist University Initiative launched in HK

HONG KONG, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong Baptist University held the opening ceremony of the Carter Center -- Hong Kong Baptist University Initiative on Monday, with the attendance of the former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.

According to the Hong Kong Baptist University, the Carter Center -- Hong Kong Baptist University Initiative is the first institutional tie established by The Carter Center outside the United States.

The Carter Center -- Hong Kong Baptist University Initiative has been established with the vision of drawing together the strengths and expertise of both institutions to spearhead a range of collaborative projects in education, health communication and so on.

Carter attended the ceremony and shared his personal experience and insights with teachers and students. The Carter Center was co-founded by Carter and his wife.
