Beijing, June 24 (People's Daily Online)—Three Chinese astronauts will manually dock Shenzhou-9 spacecraft with Tiangong-1 space lab module at noon today.

The astronaut Liu Wang will be responsible for the manual docking procedure, making it a first for China.

The difficulty of the manual rendezvous and docking, in regard of flight control, is the close coordination between the astronauts and the ground system, as well as timely and effective professional support, said Qian Weiping, the general designer of the Tracking, Telemetry, Command and Communication System of China Manned Space Engineering.

People's Daily Online will live broadcast the whole procedure of the first manual rendezvous and docking of Shenzhou-9 spacecraft and Tiangong-1 space lab module.
