World press hails China's first space docking

(People's Daily Online)

Beijing, Nov.3 (People's Daily Online) --China took a significant step toward the establishment of its manned space station on Thursday morning by completing the first docking of an unmanned spacecraft with the Tiangong 1 module orbiting the earth.

This exercise has attracted the world's attention, which can be seen from the reports in major English-language media.

The BBC said that the ability to dock two space vehicles together is necessary for China if it wants to start building a space station toward the decade's end.

Reuters reported that China successfully carried out its first docking exercise on Thursday between two unmanned spacecraft, passing a key test of the rising power's plans to secure a long-term manned foothold in space.

From another perspective, Agence France Press said that the docking technology is hard to master because the two vessels, which are placed in the same orbit and revolving around Earth at high speed, must come together by small increments to avoid destroying each other.(Han Shasha)

Congratulations, indeed, to China, Chinese rocket scientists, engineers & technicians plus various staffs/depts of all who started the programs and all those in continuation of this space program without end 'cause the universe is like an infinite time machine! Chinese race must therefore exist with other majors out there too! Very Best Wishes, always!
